Fort Campbell soldier dies after motorcycle wreck in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Fort Campbell soldier is dead following a crash in Clarksville, Tennessee.
According to a social media post by the Clarksville Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:24 p.m. Thursday on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway between an SUV and a motorcycle.
Authorities say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead while being transported to Vanderbilt Clarksville.
Police say the motorcyclist was an active-duty soldier stationed at Fort Campbell. His name is currently being withheld until CPD confirms a next-of-kin notification, according to authorities.
The driver of the SUV was extricated from the vehicle and sustained non-life threatening injuries, police say.
The investigation remains ongoing. No additional details have been released at this time.
