MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin an $8 million roadway project next week.

According to a release, a project to widen KY 181 in Muhlenberg County is set to begin Monday.

The project, announced on May 15, will widen the highway approximately eight feet and improve the drainage between Depot Street (12.78 mile point) and the Western Kentucky Parkway (15.24 mile marker).

The closure will be at the 13.6-mile point located just north of Henderson Lane.

KYTC says the project is expected to be completed in 60 days.

Motorists are asked to plan alternative routes and to drive with caution as equipment, flaggers, and personnel will be present along the roadway.
