Park City principal accepts position with Kentucky Department of Education

PARK CITY, Ky. (Glasgow News 1) – Principal Brian Clifford with Park City Elementary has announced a new path in his career.

According to a report by Glasgow News 1, Clifford stated in a letter “to parents, families and students” that his last day at the school is June 30.

“After much thought and reflection, I have accepted a position with the Kentucky Department of Education as an Educational Recovery Leader,” Clifford said. “Serving as principal of Park City Elementary has been one of the greatest honors of my career.”

According to Glasgow News 1, Clifford also stated Park City Elementary is “truly a special place, filled with incredible students, supportive families, dedicated teachers and an amazing staff.”

“I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a wonderful school community,” he said. “While I am excited for this new opportunity to support schools and students across Kentucky, leaving Park City Elementary is not easy because of the deep love and appreciation I have for this school and community. The relationships, memories, and experiences we have shared will always hold a special place in my heart.”

In addition, Glasgow News 1 says Clifford expressed gratitude to students for their “hard work, enthusiasm, kindness and joy they brought to school each day.”

Clifford also “thanked parents and families for their partnership, trust and unwavering support,” according to the report.

According to Glasgow News 1, he also expressed thanks to teachers and staff for the dedication shown and work done “on behalf of students.”

“It has been an incredible journey, and I will always be proud to be part of the Park City Elementary family,” Clifford stated.
