2 children flown for severe injuries after wreck in Christian County

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKDZ) – Two children were flown for treatment following a crash in Christian County on Monday afternoon.

According to a report by WKDZ, the crash occurred on West Princeton Street in Crofton.

WKDZ reports Christian County deputies stated that at 5:09 a.m., a truck driven by 19-year-old Nathan Powell of Nebo was traveling on Poole Mill Road when it pulled into the path of a tractor driven by 32-year-old Leanne Garber of Crofton on West Princeton Street.

As a result, WKDZ says the tractor overturned.

Two children under 2 years old that were occupants of the tractor were flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana due to severe injuries, according to WKDZ. Garber was transported by ambulance to the same hospital.

According to WKDZ, the tractor caught fire after the crash but was extinguished by witnesses and deputies using a fire extinguisher.
