Paducah man receives additional charges in investigation involving former nanny

Ryan Conn

PADUCAH, Ky. – A Paducah man is facing charges after allegedly making false accusations against a nanny.

According to a release, 41-year-old Ryan Conn, of Paducah, told Kentucky State Police Post 1 detectives that his former nanny “had stolen and damaged items in his home in 2024.”

Conn allegedly told police that the former nanny hosted parties at his home while he and his family were out of town and consumed alcohol.

KSP says while investigating the claims, detectives located text message conversations between Conn and his former nanny that show Conn approved the parties.

The former nanny is an alleged victim in a criminal case and a plaintiff in a civil case against Conn.

KSP obtained an arrest warrant for Conn on May 21.

On May 25, troopers located Conn and arrested him on charges of false report of an incident to law enforcement, intimidating a participant in the legal process, and retaliating against a participant in the legal process.

Conn was lodged at the McCracken County Jail but is no longer listed as an inmate.

The investigation is ongoing.
