Tennessee juvenile charged with drug, firearm possession following traffic stop

PORTLAND, Tenn. – A juvenile allegedly possessed suspected drugs and a firearm in Portland.
According to the Portland Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop following a traffic violation.
Officers say the driver is a juvenile male.
During the investigation, a search of the vehicle was performed. Officers discovered a loaded Micro Draco 7.62mm firearm with two loaded magazines and a ski mask and gloves inside a backpack.
More than 20 THC vape pens, several grams of suspected marijuana, and over $800 in cash were also located.
Officers arrested the juvenile. He is charged with possession of Schedule VI (marijuana) for resale, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
The juvenile was lodged at the Sumner County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
