Man arrested after two reported robberies in Hopkinsville

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WKDZ) – One man is behind bars after two reported robberies in Hopkinsville.

According to a report by WKDZ, a man was walking while Christopher Redmon was traveling on a moped and allegedly approached the male subject, pointing a gun at him and taking his bag.

WKDZ reports the incident took place on Bethel Street at the walking trail on Tuesday morning.

According to WKDZ, this was the second robbery that occurred in Hopkinsville.

Redmon allegedly fled the area before being located on Lafayette Road at the rail trail. He was then taken into custody.

WKDZ states authorities say Redmon is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, with the second charge being from a robbery on East Fourth Street at an intersection of South Clay Street on Tuesday morning as well.

According to WKDZ, the first robbery resulted in three shots being fired. No injuries were reported in either incident.
