MORGANTOWN, Ky. – City of Morgantown Mayor Billy Phelps announced the opening of a handicap accessible ramp at the city’s boat dock on Monday.

“This is just one more step in our continued investment in quality of life down at the river in what we proudly call the MoGo Commons area. We’re putting real resources into making this space something everyone in our community can enjoy,” says Phelps in a social media post.

The mayor says the city is applying for a grant that will allow officials to obtain new playground equipment designed for children with special needs.

Phelps says the city is also opening bids on a bathroom accessibility renovation project.

“This is your city at work—pushing forward on multiple projects that continue to build on the quality of life right here in the City of Morgantown. We’re not slowing down,” says Phelps.
