Deputies make multiple arrests after antique vehicle theft in Simpson County

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Three men are now behind bars after an alleged vehicle theft case in Simpson County.

According to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on April 13 to a reported burglary in Simpson County, where an antique vehicle and additional property were stolen from a residence.

Authorities say they were able to recover the stolen vehicle, along with other items.

Deputies say the recovered items were found at multiple locations throughout Simpson County.

As a result, deputies arrested 33-year-old Cory M. Doss, 28-year-old Michael L. Herrington and 28-year-old Michael S. Cassetty. All three remain at the Simpson County Jail.

Doss is charged with receiving stolen property, $10,000 or more, tampering with physical evidence and destruction of a VIN number. Herrington faces charges of receiving stolen property, $10,000 or more and tampering with physical evidence. Cassetty is charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others between $10,000 and $1,000,000.

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities say additional arrests and charges are expected.
