Rescue agencies respond to submerged truck

ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – Rescue agencies safely removed a submerged truck on Sunday in Allen County.
According to a Barren County Rescue (BCR) social media post, units responded to reports of a truck in the water at Port Oliver.
BCR says a boat pulled a truck in the water during launch. The boat and truck were approximately 15 feet from the ramp and submerged.
Barren County Rescue teams located the truck with sonar technology and pulled it in safely, according to the post.
The truck was not occupied.
Allen County Emergency Management, Barren County Rescue, Barren County Rescue Squad, and Oliphant Towing secured the scene.
Barren County Rescue urges boaters to check all of their equipment and to wear life jackets to stay safe.
