Hotel Inc. holds First Friday Lunch and Learn for the month of May

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday afternoon, Hotel Inc. invited members of the community to attend its monthly Lunch and Learn event.

Community members attended the event to learn what Hotel Inc. is about and its mission. This luncheon focused on its current focus on impacting housing, health and community in Bowling Green.

Attendees also learned about what services the organization offers, such as community gardens, a branch of the Warren County Library located in their building and the Delafield Co-Op Market, which gives local businesses a chance to sell their food or goods and be a part of the local economy.

The big topic of this month’s meeting was Hotel Inc.’s current efforts at cutting down the homeless population in the area and making sure they get proper healthcare and housing.

It is currently offering street medicine and medical respite housing programs, which are in place to help these unhoused individuals in the area work towards getting proper the proper healthcare and housing they need.

Its mission is to cut down the homeless population and get as many unhoused individuals from the medical respite program into homes and with good healthcare as possible.

“Our aim is not to just provide a temporary place for someone to heal and rest, even though that’s very important. Ultimately, we are trying to move people, exit them from homelessness into housing that they can sustain,” said Karen Foley, executive director at Hotel Inc.
