Laurel County woman charged with murder in fatal overdose investigation

LONDON, Ky. – A woman wanted in a murder investigation in Laurel County is in custody.

According to a media release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Courtney K. Boone, of London, was arrested on Pine Top Road Thursday morning.

The Laurel County Circuit Court indicted Boone on a murder charge following the overdose death of a 26-year-old man in the county in 2025.

The Laurel County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the death was a result of an overdose, according to the release.

The U.S. Marshal Service-Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force assisted LCSO in the arrest of Boone.
