Bowling Green Fire Department rescues owl, ducklings

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department responded to two very unique rescues over the weekend.

According to a social media post, BGFD crews responded to an owl that was stuck in a tree on Friday.

Personnel safely removed the owl and returned it to the woods.

On Saturday, crews responded to a report of ducklings stuck in a storm drain.

Crews rescued the ducklings and returned them to their mother near Crosswinds Golf Course.

“Serving our community comes in all shapes and sizes, and we’re always ready to answer the call,” said a spokesperson for the Bowling Green Fire Department.
