Motorcyclist killed in early morning crash in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WNKY) – A Scottsville man is dead following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Sunday morning in Allen County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green say they were called just after 1:00 a.m. by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office to an injury collision in the 1000 block of Macedonia Road.

According to authorities, a preliminary investigation found that 26-year-old Remington James Matlock was traveling north on Macedonia Road on a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he left the roadway and struck a wooded fence post.

Matlock was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County Coroner.

The crash remains under investigation by Trooper Grant Roberson. Authorities say he was assisted at the scene by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Allen County EMS, and other Kentucky State Police personnel.
