New driver licensing office in Hopkinsville opens

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced a new driver licensing location in Christian County on Tuesday morning.
According to a release, the office is now open at 700B Hammond Plaza in Hopkins.
KYTC says the location is near the shopping plaza at Hammond Plaza and Old Clarksville Pike.
The office will feature an expanded lobby, additional parking options, and space for driver testing with the Kentucky State Police.
KYTC says the old location on Main Street is closed.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. KYTC encourages residents to schedule appointments.
Applicants for road testing are required to make an appointment online at kentuckystatepolice.ky.gov/driver-testing.
