Proffitt named Bowling Green Independent Schools preschool principal

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Independent Schools announced a new principal for its preschool program Monday afternoon.

Afton Proffiitt, who currently serves as School Counselor at T. C. Cherry Elementary, will assume the role on July 1.

Proffitt will oversee the daily operations of the district’s “Itty Bitty Purples” preschool program, which includes curriculum implementation and family engagement initiatives, according to a media release.

Profitt’s career includes serving as a Special Education teacher in both Hardin County and Warren County Schools. She is certified in Special Education, School Counseling, and Principal Leadership.
