Logan County Schools reveal renderings for nearly $10 million expansion

Logan County Ctc Expansion Renderings

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Expansion and new education programs are now moving forward at Logan County Schools.

According to a release, the district was awarded $9,954,829 on April 15, 2025, to add Diesel Technology and Plumbing programs at Logan County Career & Technical Center.

At a board meeting early this week, final drawings and plans were presented and approved.

LCS says the project will provide education and address the need for skilled workers.

Superintendent Dan Costellow says the expansion will provide opportunities to students in the Logan, Russellville and Todd County school districts.

“Our Career and Technical Center already offers ten pathways that prepare students for work-ready and certified positions, and these programs will give students even more options to pursue careers that match their interests and goals. We’re also looking forward to opening the bid process in the coming weeks and beginning construction by early summer,” says Costellow.

Costellow says construction bids are expected in early May, with project construction beginning this summer.

He says the project is expected to be completed by late summer 2027.

“By expanding these programs, we are helping ensure students graduate with the skills they need to succeed, whether they choose to enter the workforce or continue their education,” says Costellow.
