Bowling Green man wanted following incident involving gun arrested in Todd County

GUTHRIE, Ky. – A wanted Bowling Green man is in custody in Todd County.
According to a Bowling Green Police Department incident report, officers responded to a restaurant on Russellville Road to complaints of a man making threats on March 26.
An officer says the man exited a vehicle and walked away, and refused to comply.
The officer made contact with a female victim who had blood on her face. She pointed to the man, who fled to the back of the restaurant.
During the foot pursuit, the officer lost sight of the man as he fled into a wooded area.
When the officer returned to the restaurant, the victim had left the scene. Another witness provided the victim’s location, according to the report.
The officer made contact with the victim at her home and she later said 33-year-old Jamin Pewett, of Bowling Green, was inside her home when she returned from work earlier in the day.
The victim says Pewett threatened her. She told the officer that she planned to stay at a different location with her child.
According to the report, the victim and the child were entering her vehicle when Pewett approached her friend’s apartment and asked her to leave. The victim says Pewett had a firearm and fired a round “into the air.”
The victim said Pewett also threatened to “shoot up the place.”
The officer says the victim and her friend then left the residence and drove down Russellville Road, stopping at the restaurant. Pewett followed her, according to the report.
The victim says Pewett pointed the firearm at her head and struck her in the face, while yelling at her to “go home.”
The victim’s friend, who was driving the vehicle, told the officer that Pewett had pointed a gun at her before leaving the apartment. Pewett followed the car and drove in her path before both vehicles stopped at the restaurant.
A 9mm shell casing was located in the apartment driveway during the investigation, according to the report.
A complaint warrant was issued for Pewett on March 24.
Pewett was located and served the complaint warrant by the Guthrie Police Department in Todd County on April 12, according to a uniform citation.
Pewett was arrested and was lodged at the Todd County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
He is charged with first-degree assault – domestic violence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), first-degree wanton endangerment and third-degree terroristic threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
