Motorcycle crash claims 1 in Ohio County

HARTFORD, Ky. (WNKY) – Authorities in Ohio County are investigating a fatal accident that happened Wednesday night.

According to the Ohio County Coroner’s Office, officers were dispatched at 11 p.m. to a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle just outside of Hartford on State Route 69 South. Authorities say when they arrived, it appeared the operator had failed to navigate a curve, then went off the shoulder of the road, and was thrown from the motorcycle. 

The victim was identified as 43-year-old William Freeman of Hartford.

Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ohio County Coroner.

Next of kin has been notified and the investigation is still ongoing.
