Bowling Green man arrested after alleged online solicitation of minor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.  – A Bowling Green man is behind bars after alleged online attempts to solicit a minor for images.

According to a uniform citation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a report Monday of “odd emails” sent to a juvenile.

Authorities say 18-year-old Nicholas Turney of Bowling Green contacted a 13-year-old female and “started asking if she wanted to be his girlfriend.”

The citation states Turney also asked the minor to send a nude image. Authorities say the minor did not comply.

Authorities say Turney stated he did not send the emails.

Turney was arrested and charged with procuring or promoting use of a minor by electronic means. He remains at the Warren County Regional Jail.
