Franklin, Simpson County receive national recognition after record-breaking 2025 investments

FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority (FSIA) received national recognition.
According to a release, Site Selection magazine ranked Franklin as tied for 9th among micropolitans in the 2025 Governor’s Cup rankings.
FSIA says 2025 was a record-breaking year for the Franklin and Simpson County region, with more than $605 million in new investment and nearly 1,000 new jobs created.
Over $35 million in new investments were made in January and February of 2026. The investments will create 288 new jobs, according to the release.
“Last year’s results prove what we already know — Franklin-Simpson is a place where businesses can thrive,” said Jim DeCesare, Executive Director of the Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority. “These investments reflect strong partnerships, a skilled workforce, and the community’s commitment to smart growth.”
