Warren County officially announces appointments to Transportation Improvement District board
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new board is coming to Warren County, aimed at helping the transportation industry in our area.
The Transportation Improvement District, or TID, board was created after an ordinance passed in 2025.
Thursday morning, five people were appointed to that board as they look to hit the ground running in March.
Warren County Judge Executive Doug Gorman says this board plans on helping with any road, bridge or even rail project… anything that can help the citizens of Bowling Green and Warren County.
“With this growth, infrastructure and the stress that’s on there. We have got to build more and more and doing those things. When we have to widen roads, we have to add interchanges and we have to add roundabouts, all the things we talk about… but this board will help speed that up. We have to be motivated, laser focused on doing that for the safety of the citizens of this area,” Gorman says.
This is only the second TID board in Kentucky. Boone County started theirs last year.
Gorman says with this announcement, he hopes Warren County continues to be at the forefront of ways to help the area improve.
