Glasgow Police Department to conduct traffic safety checkpoints

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints starting Saturday and continuing through the end of the month.

The department says the check points will be located at but not be limited to Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway and Happy Valley Road.

Police say during this time, officers will enforce laws related to driving while under the influence, checking for licensing, registration and insurance and checking seat belts and child restraint devices.

Police say the checkpoints serve a tool to promote safety on public roadways.
