Scottsville man flown for treatment after allegedly being struck by vehicle

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Scottsville man sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Glasgow.
According to Public Information Officer Johnny Vance, officers responded to an injury collision on Old Bowling Green Road Monday evening.
Officers say the collision happened between Industrial Drive and Donnelly Drive near Akebono.
When they arrived, they located Russell Crouch, of Scottsville, lying in a ditch with apparent broken bones and a severe laceration to his left arm.
Officers applied a tourniquet to Crouch’s injured arm before Barren Metcalfe EMS transported him to TJ Samson Community Hospital for further treatment.
Vance says officers identified the driver of the vehicle that allegedly struck Crouch as Brandon Acree.
Acree told officers he was driving west on Old Bowling Green Road and did not see Crouch. He told officers he heard the collision and stopped to see what he had hit.
Officers cited Acree for vehicle registration violations. He was then released.
Crouch was later flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for continued treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
