Glasgow Pride partners with AJ’s Grace to host food drive

GLASGOW, Ky. – A local organization that helps the LGBTQ+ community in Barren County has partnered with a food pantry to host a food drive.

Glasgow Pride hosted their Pride and Plenty Food Drive at The Hive Coffee and Bakehouse in downtown Glasgow Monday evening.

The drive helps benefit AJ’s Grace, a food pantry run by local favorite restaurant AJ’s Place.

AJ’s Grace is a luxury food pantry, meaning no questions asked, they provide food to anyone in the community… and with the winter months upon us, it’s incredibly important to make sure everyone is fed.

“We realized that we had a broader group of homeless people, or people who are in need, families who were struggling, especially in our current environment,” Glasgow Pride chairperson Chadwick Stockley says.

“There are people that are houseless, but there’s also people that are just barely on the edge… and going into the winter months like we are, it’s critical that we’re able to give them maybe a hot meal or something that they can pop open, cans that they can pop open, that they can eat out of,” Becky Hasley, a volunteer at AJ’s Grace, adds.
