BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Michigan man is facing charges after a multi-state theft case involving Walmart stores, including in Kentucky.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, last month, nine Walmart locations across Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee were targeted by a group of individuals.

Authorities say three individuals, posing as Spark Delivery drivers, focused their efforts on the electronics sections of several Walmart stores, stealing or attempting to steal thousands of dollars worth of electronics.

The Bowling Green Police Department says its detectives were able to identify one of the suspects as 26-year-old Jneal Javon Willis of Detroit, Michigan.

Authorities say they obtained a felony warrant for Willis, and with assistance from Michigan State Police, Willis was arrested.

Willis is currently awaiting extradition to Kentucky, authorities say, where he will face felony theft charges.

This investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests and charges are possible.
