BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Five individuals are now facing charges in connection with a recent reported robbery in Bowling Green.

On Monday, the Bowling Green Police Department confirmed it has taken five total people into custody, including 18-year-old Keon Knight of Bowling Green and a 17-year-old female.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Aboubaker Mohamoud of Louisville was arrested last week, according to jail records.

Bowling Green police confirm the individuals were arrested in relation to reported incidents that occurred on Nov. 30 in Bowling Green.

An arrest report states dispatch stated “several subjects wearing masks and armed with firearms” were trying to enter an apartment that night on Hillview Mills.

Police say after later hearing shots nearby, they responded to Moss Creek Avenue, where a victim states at least four male subjects entered a home.

Authorities say a male resident of that home stated he arrived and retrieved a handgun, firing multiple rounds at the subjects that had entered the home.

That same day, Bowling Green police located and arrested two individuals, identified as 21-year-old Jaivion Harris and 19-year-old Brian Williams Jr.

Police say Williams Jr. had sustained an apparent gunshot wound.

Knight and Mohamoud face charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, kidnapping of a minor and first-degree wanton endangerment.

Harris and Williams are charged with first-degree robbery, while the 17-year-old female is charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.

The Bowling Green Police Department says resources from its Advanced Crime Scene Unit, Crisis Negotiation Unit, Critical Response Team and the Criminal Investigations Division helped resolve this  case.

Additionally, Bowling Green police say they thank the Louisville Metro Police Department for its help in locating and arresting Mohamoud after he fled to Louisville.

The investigation is ongoing.
