Police: ‘Emergency closure’ issued for sinkhole repair in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Frankfort police reported an emergency closure of a road due to a sinkhole on Thursday.

According to the Frankfort Police Department, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 closed Shelby Street between State Street and Lafayette Drive at 10:45 a.m. for investigation and repair of a sinkhole.

The duration of that closure has not been confirmed.
