Man allegedly uses Allen Co. Fiscal Court fuel card to purchase gasoline

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A man is facing charges after allegedly using a fuel card belonging to the Allen County Fiscal Court to purchase gasoline.

According to a uniform citation, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force was advised by employees of the Allen County Fiscal Court on Oct. 29 regarding a fuel card being fraudulently used to purchase gas.

Authorities say the fuel card was used approximately 28 times from Aug. 22 to Oct. 29, totaling $2,392.78 in fuel.

After obtaining camera footage and a vehicle description, authorities say they located 31-year-old Michael Greene of Scottsville.

Official say they located a vehicle matching the description and conducted a felony stop on Greene.

According to authorities, Greene possessed the fuel card belonging to the fiscal court. In addition, authorities say Greene was in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

Greene was arrested and transported to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office. Following an interview, Greene was taken to the Allen County Detention Center.

Greene is charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others between $1,000 and $10,000, fraudulent use of a credit/gift card, theft of identity of another without consent and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
