Smoothie King adds food items to menu
(CNN) – Smoothie King is adding something new.
For the first time since opening its doors in 1973, the Dallas-based chain is serving food.
It’s called the Power Eats menu, which will feature peanut butter toast, avocado toast and chocolate hazelnut toast.
There are also two types of grab-and-go protein boxes for consumers on the run.
Officials say they plan to have more items next year, including egg clouds and chicken tenders.
Smoothie King has more than 1,200 locations across the nation.
