Indiana woman arrested after allegedly fleeing police in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An Indiana woman is facing multiple charges after troopers say she fled a traffic stop in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police received a call early Thursday morning regarding a vehicle almost striking the caller’s truck on Interstate 65 in Hardin County.
Troopers say the caller stated he had been following the vehicle since leaving Louisville and had seen it almost hit several other vehicles.
Authorities say later that morning, another caller reported the same vehicle was not able to maintain its lane in Warren County.
Troopers say they observed the vehicle on I-65 and attempted to make a traffic stop. According to authorities, a pursuit ensued, ending when a tractor-trailer blocked the left lane and caused the vehicle to slow down.
Troopers say they were then able to block the vehicle from leaving.
The driver was identified as 43-year-old Amber Nettles of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Authorities say Nettles ignored commands to exit the vehicle and showed signs of drug impairment. Troopers say Nettles stated she had consumed a muscle relaxant.
Nettles was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment (police officer), first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle on a controlled substance, first offense, reckless driving, improper passing, improper lane usage – vehicles keep to right except to pass and failure to produce insurance card.
Nettles remains at the Warren County Regional Jail.
