UPDATE: Missing Warren Co. woman found safe
ALVATON, Ky. – A missing Warren County woman has been located safe, according to fire officials.
Plano fire chief Kevin Bailey says Margaret Heard was found Thursday morning around 9:45 a.m. in a corn field.
Bailey says Heard was alert and conscious and is being transported to an area hospital. Deputies confirm she is safe but dehydrated.
The total search last around 12 hours, according to Bailey. Plano fire was assisted by the WCSO, Alvaton Fire Department, Browning Fire Department, Richardsville Fire Department, Bowling Green Fire Department, Warren County Emergency Management and three regional search dog teams.
ALVATON, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to locate a missing woman.
Deputies say Margaret Heard was last seen around 5 p.m. Wednesday on Larmon Mill Road in Alvaton.
She was reportedly last seen walking toward Dye Ford Road from a Larmon Mill residence.
The Warren County Fire Department System reports that the search began at 10 p.m.
Authorities say Heard is “likely experiencing a mental health crisis” and that law enforcement and firefighters are searching for her.
Heard does not have her glasses or phone with her, authorities say.
The Kentucky State Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Warren County Emergency Management are all actively searching for Heard.
Boats, drones, helicopters and trained canine units are deployed.
