Logan County traffic stop leads to drug trafficking arrests

AUBURN, Ky. – Two people are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine following a traffic stop in Auburn.

According to a uniform citation, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle traveling just after 10:30 p.m. Monday near Bowling Green Road and West Main Street in Auburn.

Authorities say they conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was identified as 60-year-old Halious Isbell of Scottsville, while authorities say the passenger was identified as 48-year-old Shannon Miller.

Deputies say they saw suspected marijuana during this time, leading to a vehicle search.

During the search, authorities say they located various items of suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue, along with a digital scale.

Both Isbell and Miller were arrested and remain at the Logan County Detention Center.

Isbell is charged with failure of owner to maintain required security/insurance, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third or greater offense (methamphetamine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia – deliver/manufacture.

Miller is charged with drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia – deliver/manufacture.
