2025 guide: where to watch fireworks in south-central Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -Multiple counties are hosting firework events leading up to this Fourth of July.
Below are the events listed by county in our local area.
Allen County
- Fireworks in the Park: Friday, June 27 at 5:30 p.m. at Dumont Hill section of Dugas Community Park.
Barren County
- Sue’s First Red, White and Salute Bash: Saturday, July 5 at 3 p.m. at Bell’s Tavern Park. Concert, food trucks, fireworks at dark, live music and much more.
- Cave City Fireworks Show: Thursday, July 3 at 6 p.m. at Cave Area Conference Center. Organizers say fireworks will be visible from downtown Cave City.
- Fourth of July at Barren River Lake State Park: Friday, July 4. Gates open at 10 a.m., food trucks open at 11 a.m. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. Beach parking will cost $20 per car.
Butler County
- Rochester Community Fireworks: Saturday, June 28, gates open at 6 p.m. at Rochester Ball Park. Hot dog meals for $5 will include hot dogs, chips, a snack cake and a drink.
- Cool Springs Church Barbecue Cookoff: Saturday, June 28. Festivities start at 7 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m. at 2055 Cool Springs Road in Morgantown.
- City of Morgantown Fourth of July Fireworks: Watch from the Green River Catfish Festival at the fairgrounds by the river.
Logan County
- Auburn Freedom Celebration: Sunday, June 29. Events start at 5 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church.
- Thunder over Lewisburg: Friday, July 4 at 9 p.m. at McKinney Park. More here.
Monroe County
- Bethlehem Church Independence Day Fireworks: Saturday, June 28 at 7 p.m. Fellowship, free food, fireworks and fun at 2848 Bethlehem Church Road in Mt. Hermon.
Warren County
- Hayward Minton Thunderfest: Saturday, June 28 at Ephram White Park at 885 Mt Olivet Road. Gates open at 3 p.m.
- Bowling Green Hot Rods Fourth of July Spectacular at Bowling Green Ballpark: July 4, with the first pitch taking place at 6:35 p.m. More info here.
