GLASGOW, Ky. – A man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he kicked a Glasgow police officer.

According to a uniform citation, a Glasgow Police Department officer was dispatched Saturday to Adams Place regarding a report of a man pointing a gun in the air.

Police say upon arrival, authorities had 38-year-old Brandon Crenshaw in custody.

Authorities say a police sergeant said he saw Crenshaw walking away while residents identified Crenshaw as the man with the gun. Crenshaw was then detained and placed into handcuffs.

While searching Crenshaw, police made contact with a female subject on scene, who stated a juvenile male was riding his bike down the hill when Crenshaw ran after the juvenile, grabbed him and put a gun to his head, which was later found to be a plastic BB gun.

At the time, police say those on scene thought the gun was real during the incident.

While taking Crenshaw to place him into a patrol car, police say he dropped to the ground and was picked up by his arms and legs to be carried to the patrol car.

During this time, police say he began kicking and kicked an officer in the face.

Crenshaw was placed on the ground again before being placed in the patrol car, authorities say.

Crenshaw was arrested and transported to the Barren County Detention Center.

He faces charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree assault of a police officer or probation officer, resisting arrest and third-degree criminal trespassing.
