2 arrested after methamphetamine found during Bowling Green traffic stop

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two people are facing charges following a large meth bust Tuesday morning in Bowling Green.

According to a release by the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force, task force detectives and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Steven Webster, 37, of Bowling Green and Todd Allen Dooley, 41, of Brooks, Kentucky this morning.

Dooley is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) (hand gun enhancement), possession of marijuana, possession of a hand gun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property (hand gun stolen in Nashville) and third-degree possession of a controlled substance (Clonazepam), excessive windshield/window tint, failure to maintain required vehicle insurance and operating on a suspended or revoked license.

Webster is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) (hand gun enhancement), possession of marijuana, possession of a hand gun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property (hand gun stolen in Nashville) and third-degree possession of a controlled substance (Clonazepam).

Officials say Warren County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop five miles south of Bowling Green on Interstate 65. Drug task force detectives, deputies and a K-9 located Mexican crystal methamphetamine in the vehicle.

The stop and arrests occurred after 7 a.m. this morning.

Authorities say they found 8.6 pounds of Mexican crystal methamphetamine, 22 Clonazepam tablets, 6.6 grams of Marijuana, two handguns, one of which was stolen from Nashville and $640 in cash.

Both remain at the Warren County Regional Jail.
