Barren County High School students selected for 2025 Governor’s Scholars Program

GLASGOW, Ky. – Barren County High School proudly announces that several of its outstanding students have been selected to participate in the prestigious 2025 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP), Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE), and Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA). This highly competitive, five-week summer residential program is designed to enhance Kentucky’s next generation of civic and economic leaders. The selected students are as follows:

  • Kathryn Dooley – GSA Vocal Music & GSP
  • Yaxmine Maxey – GSA Creative Writing
  • Micah Myatt – GSA Vocal Music
  • Cameron Price – GSA Design
  • Braxton Hall – GSE
  • Logan Dickerson – GSP
  • Lauren Gatewood – GSP
  • Olivia Jolly – GSP
  • Wyatt Spears – GSP
  • Mary Caire Warren – GSP

The Governor’s Scholars Program offers selected students the opportunity to engage in a rigorous academic curriculum, develop their leadership skills, and explore career pathways, all while residing on a Kentucky college campus.
