Hope Harbor to host annual Take Back the Night on April 12

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hope Harbor will be hosting its annual Take Back the Night event on April 12.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, and the event held at Fountain Square Park invites the general public to gather and show support for survivors of sexual violence.

This year, the community can also recognize Hope Harbor’s 40th anniversary of service to survivors.

The event will kick off at 5 p.m., with other events taking place at the Capitol Theatre through 8 p.m. The organization says this year’s theme is “Your Power is in Your Story,” inspired by “the resilience of local survivors, some of whom will be reading their stories at the event.”
