State police investigating fatal Pike County fire

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal house fire in Pike County.

KSP says it received a call about a house fire in Pikeville on Sunday morning.

Investigators responded to the scene at Brushy Road.

According to a preliminary investigation, first responders located two bodies inside the residence.

The bodies were sent to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsy and identification.

KSP says the cause of the fire and deaths of the two people are under investigation. No foul play is suspected.
