Allen County-Scottsville High School to host career exploration event

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Allen County- Scottsville High School is hosting a career exploration event on Tuesday, March 11.
The event is set to last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school’s campus.
School officials say the event aims to connect area businesses with high school students to show insights into career opportunities in the region.
The school says the event will offer an opportunity for upcoming graduates to look at diverse career paths, assisting them in making decisions about their futures.
“This is an exciting opportunity for students, businesses, and the community to come together to create pathways to success for the next generation,” said Shane Humphrey, Allen County-Scottsville’s principal.
Whether they want to pursue a college degree, vocational training or enter the workforce directly after graduating, school officials say the event will offer guidance and support to find the right fit.
In addition to traditional career paths, representatives from military organizations, such as the Marines, Army and National Guard, will be present for alternative routes to careers.
News 40 will provide more details of the event tomorrow evening with further coverage.
