SNAP benefits available to replace food lost during recent storms

If you are a SNAP benefit recipient and lost your food due to a power outage from last weekend’s round of severe weather, you may be able to get replacement benefits.

The Kentucky Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program says that households that lost food due to the Feb. 15 storms and flooding have until Wednesday, Feb. 25 to request replacement benefits.

You must have lost power for four hours or more.
