3 arrested after man is beaten with a baseball bat

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man has sustained serious injuries after being beaten with a baseball bat.

The Bowling Green Police Department responded to Carpenter Court for an assault investigation on Tuesday. A man was found in the street unresponsive with serious injuries and transported for treatment. The report indicated that the man was beaten with a baseball bat.

Following an investigation, Bowling Green Police located the suspects in the assault on Wednesday.

The suspects are Areionna Martin, 19, Cuartez Morrison, 18, and Demetrion Neal, 24, all of Bowling Green.

During the investigation, police say the three suspects admitted to being involved in the assault with a baseball bat and stealing the victim’s car.

Police say the suspects had an intended target. The intended target fled the scene. The male victim is a friend of the intended target of the attack.

Martin is charged with first-degree assault (complicity) and first-degree robbery (complicity).

Morrison is charged with first-degree assault (complicity) and first-degree robbery (complicity).

Neal is charged with first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.

Police say there is a potential for additional charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
