Warren Co. Drug Task Force hosting auction of forfeited vehicles
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force will host a public auction of drug forfeited vehicles, as well as new vehicles purchased for drug task force detectives and other property.
According to drug task force officials, broker-auctioneer Joe Houchens, who owns Joe B. Houchens Auctioneers in Bowling Green, will oversee the sale at no cost to the drug task force, and no buyers premium is added.
Proceeds from this sale benefit the Warren County Dug Task Force, officials say.
“We feel like it’s a way of giving back to the community in support of the Warren County Drug Task Force,” Houchens said. “Tommy Loving and his group and (Warren County Commonwealth’s Attorney) Kori Bumgarner are continually working to suppress drugs and narcotics.
“We all have children and grandchildren. Anything they do to suppress illegal drugs in our community is well worth anyone’s time or effort.”
Officials say terms include cash or check with a proper ID, full settlement the day of the auction and there will be no buyer’s premium. The Warren County Clerk staff will be on site for immediate registration and transfer of title the day of sale.
The sale begins at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 in front of the Warren County Courthouse at 429 East 10th Ave. in Bowling Green.
