(CNN) – Dog owners are being warned to be cautious about what they’re feeding their pets.

Sixteen-ounce bags of “Hollywood Feed Carolina Made Chicken Chips” have been recalled due to a potential salmonella threat.

The Food and Drug Administration says dogs who eat salmonella-tainted food can suffer several health issues, including nausea, fever and abdominal cramping.

FDA officials say the dog treats were sold online and distributed to Hollywood Feed stores in nearly 20 states, including Kentucky.

Humans who touch contaminated products can also be affected with the same symptoms.
