Search warrant for stolen lap top leads to drug, child pornography charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with possession of child pornography and drug trafficking.
The Bowling Green Police Department says a search warrant was executed at 1415 Newtown Ave about a stolen laptop on Friday.
Police say Jeffrey Chandler, 65 of Bowling Green, was found to have the laptop. Chandler told officers he purchased the laptop.
During the investigation, police say they located methamphetamine, a glass pipe, and digital scales. Officers say they also located printed images of sexual performances of minors at the residence. 20 of the photos depict minors believed to be between the ages of 12 and 14. Police say photos depict a juvenile male believed to be 6 or 7 years of age and photos of male juveniles engaging in deviant sexual intercourse.
Chandler was placed under arrest.
Police say an additional warrant will be requested for the electronic items seized at the residence.
Chandler is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense, < 2 methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia buy/possess, receiving stolen property between $500 and $1,000, possession of matter of sexual performance by a minor between 12 and 18 years of age (first offense), and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 years of age.
Chandler is lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
