KSP investigating fatal crash in Gallatin County

CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. – A multi-vehicle collision in Gallatin County leaves one dead.

Kentucky State Police Post 5 says it responded to a vehicle collision on Tuesday on Highway 42.

KSP’s investigation shows a Mack dump truck, operated by Stacey Rigdon of Batavia, OH, was traveling east and crossed the center line, and struck a Honda Accord.

The Honda Accord exited the roadway and struck a tree. The dump truck continued traveling and struck a Hyundai Venue, operated by Sarah Bingham of Florence.

Bingham was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.
