Pest Control Expert Gives Tips To Prevent Pests from Invading Your Homes

BOWLING GREEN, Ky,- The holiday season is right around the corner. As many gear up for seasons’ greetings there’s a chance that you may be greeted by sneaky pests invading your homes. From the setup of holiday decor to preparing a giant family feast. If not handled well, there’s a risk for unwanted guests. As temperatures chill. Jimmy Blankenship, pest control expert gives a few tips to keep the pests from stealing your holiday thrill. 

Blankenship suggests that boxed storage items in Attics can be an harborage area for spiders, and other insects. When bringing the boxes down and unpacking, he suggests laying something down on the floor to be aware of any potential pests such as ‘silverfish’. Silverfish are known to feed off of carboard boxes.

“It’s always a good idea to lay something on the floor as you bring those boxes down, and so you can see it coming out and then just wadded up and throw it away later.” Said Blankenship .

When it comes to food, Blankenship urges to be aware of roaches that can travel in from grocery store boxes. Try to avoid food spills, and not to cram everything in the back of cabinets, which could cause issues.
