Bowling Green holds Veterans Day Parade
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Saturday, the City of Bowling Green held their annual Veterans Day Parade through downtown.
The rain held off enough for thousands to line the streets and support and honor our vets as they waved by.
Many familiar faces made their way through the crowded streets, including the Bowling Green city commissioners, mayor Todd Alcott, Congressman Brett Guthrie and many others. Service members and first responders handed out candy to the children as they passed by, and of course, it wouldn’t be a Bowling Green parade without the Corvettes passing through decked out in red, white and blue.
The parade went down College Street passing by Circus Square Park and Fountain Square Park, turned down 10th Avenue and back down State Street past the parks again.
The event offered a fitting way to say thank you to those who have served our country.
