WKU football heads to New Mexico State with 4-0 league record

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hilltopper football is 4-0 in CUSA play for the first time since 2015 after a season of combined effort from both sides of the football.

The offense has seen key guys go in and out with injury but has stepped up on every occasion to keep the wins rolling, and the defense has been producing at a high level as well, forcing a turnover in each of their last 11 games dating back to last season.

Dallas Walker is one of the forces on that WKU defensive line, and he shared recently what sets this team apart from the rest of the league.

“ I just feel like we just have a real hustle mentality, like our effort on the offensive side, defensive side and special teams,” Walker said.  “Everyone flies around, everyone does their job and everyone’s big when it comes to discipline and knowing their assignments. So, I feel like we just play together as a team, and we got a good brotherhood. Once you add the effort piece of that and everyone is just playing for each other, the place speaks for itself.”
