BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after deputies say he operated a motor vehicle while under the influence.

According to a uniform citation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded Monday to the 100 block of Tony Avenue for a possible drunk driver around 4:40 p.m.

Deputies say the caller stated a silver Chey truck had struck a stop sign and drove through two neighbors’ yards.

Authorities say they confirmed the vehicle was registered to Zackary Stahl, 36, of Bowling Green.

Upon arrival at a residence, deputies say they spoke to a family member of Stahl’s, who confirmed Stahl had possibly struck a stop sign and was under the influence.

Deputies say the silver truck was in the driveway and had a flat front tire and minor scratches.

According to the sheriff’s office, a stop sign at Tony Avenue and Drakesborough Avenue is estimated to cost over $500 to repair.

Upon contact with Stahl, deputies say he appeared to be under the influence and smelled of alcohol.

Stahl stated he did not recall hitting the stop sign, deputies say.

Stahl was arrested and administered a preliminary breath test, which deputies say measured at .363.

Stahl was transported to the Warren County Detention Center. He is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first offense (aggravated circumstances) and first-degree criminal mischief.
